Jill O’Neill began Dancing at 4 years of age and like most children tried her hand or should we say feet, at every different dance style that was available from ballet to Irish and tap to jazz. She trained weekly and as she became a teenager she hungered for more. She began performing in Pantos and Musicals and loved every minute spent on the stage. Upon completing her leaving cert she secured herself a place and The College of Dance. Here she studied for 2 years full time training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and singing under some of Irelands leading teachers. Following from there Jill auditioned for another Dance college in Scotland specialising in contemporary Dance and was lucky enough to secure a place on their course. However Jill opted to stay in Dublin and set up her own dance school a decision that has never been regretted. She continued to train and through distance learning with a college in the Uk and gained her D.D.I. qualifications with The ISTD (Imperial Society Of Teachers of Dance. The school has gone from strength to strength with 12 locations around Dublin and over 300 students. Last year she added The Academy which gives young students with a real passion for dance the chance to get a feel for more intense training with access to some of the country’s top professional dance teachers. Next year the school will have its 10 year Anniversary and there are many exciting new plans for the future.
